Medical Assistant

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to support 8 providers 5 days a week, taking vitals, assisting in procedures, and providing direct communication with patients. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and experience with EMR systems.

Requirements

• Takes vital signs and enters them accurately into EMR
• Rooms patients and prepares them for provider visits
• Assists providers in delivering world-class care to patients
• Registers patients in EMR and verifies their information
• Schedules patients' appointments and testing
• Obtains prior authorizations and/or insurance referrals
• Maintains patient confidentiality
• Adheres to all SEMC policies
