Director of Accounting

The Director of Accounting will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the general accounting department, overseeing managers, and ensuring compliance with internal controls. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in accounting, including 3-5 years in a leadership role, and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a CPA.

Requirements

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the general accounting department
• Oversee managers within the league accounting, tax and licensing departments, and accounts payable departments
• Prepare and/or review balance sheet schedules, reconciliations, and fluctuation reviews over P&L data
• Develop, document, and maintain accounting procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls
• Drive initiatives to automate and streamline accounting processes
• Provide leadership and mentoring to the accounting team
• Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure successful financial reporting outcomes
