Job Description
The UPK Teaching Assistant position supports the Pre-Kindergarten Teacher, planning and instructing students in a 3-4 year old environment. The role involves curriculum implementation, classroom management, assisting with student needs, and collaborating with the Lead Teacher and the City School District of Albany. The position offers a 10-month commitment and offers opportunities for professional development.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate
- Ability to function in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Proficiency with Google Office Suite
- CPR and First Aid training (Preferred)
