Job Description
Bridge33 Capital is seeking a CAM (Common Area Maintenance) Accountant to join their rapidly growing real estate private equity firm. The role involves preparing and reviewing CAM invoices, reconciling lease amounts, and assisting property accountants with reconciliations. The ideal candidate will build, improve, and scale systems, and work in an in-person capacity in the Chicago office.
Requirements
- Thoroughly interpret tenant leases to ensure accurate billing setup and maintenance in Yardi.
- Conduct detailed reviews of the general ledger to ensure accurate coding of accounts payable entries and prepare journal entries as needed.
- Assist the Property Accountants to prepare comprehensive CAM and RET reconciliations for a diverse property portfolio.
- Review reconciliations, ledgers, and other documents from associations and previous owners, for new acquisitions.
- Prepare and issue direct billing invoices to tenants for CAM, RET, and other recoverable expenses.
- Respond to tenant inquiries regarding reconciliations, providing timely and clear responses.
- Develop, document, and continuously refine CAM and reimbursement processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Train and support property accountants, asset managers, and other team members on CAM workflows, calculations, and lease interpretation.
