Job Description
ResCare Community Living is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide compassionate care to individuals with disabilities, fostering positive relationships and maintaining a safe environment. The DSP will assist with daily living, encourage self-help, and ensure client safety. This position is a crucial part of the company's mission to provide comprehensive services and foster meaningful lives for those with disabilities.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work in a group home, home-like setting
- Ability to communicate with personnel and respond to emergencies
- 3+ years experience with individuals with severe mental illness and crisis situations
- Understanding and using positive redirection and behavior modification programs
