Job Description
ResCare Community Living is seeking a Part-Time Direct Support Professional to provide compassionate care to clients in a crisis home setting. This role involves personal care tasks, assisting with daily living, ensuring client safety, and encouraging self-help. The DSP will be a crucial part of the company's mission to provide support for individuals with disabilities and mental illness.
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work in a group home, home-like setting
- Communication skills (verbal and written)
- Experience working with individuals with severe mental illness, crisis, physical interventions, and behavior supports
- 2+ years experience with positive redirection and behavior modification programs
