Under general direction, the Academic Advisor supports students holistically following first term enrollment through graduation, utilizing a case management approach to assess students' academic levels, guide career exploration, and facilitate academic plan development.
Requirements
- Master's degree required
- Four years of relevant experience
- In-depth functional knowledge and expertise in area of specialization and general knowledge of related areas in the College
- Ability to perform complex administrative analysis with only general supervision
- Strong diagnostic, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent coordination and communication skills
- Ability to plan and manage own work flow, priorities and results accomplishment
- Requires advanced knowledge of computerized systems and operating environments
- Ability to interact and effectively communicate with employee and student populations
