Job Description
Burke’s is seeking a French teacher for grades 5-8 who can educate, encourage, and empower girls by developing their knowledge, skills, and cultural/historical understanding of the French language and its impact on our world.
Requirements
- Teach four sections of French-one section in each grade level of the Upper School
- Formally assess and report on student progress three times per year
- Provide extra-help sessions during and after the school day as needed
- Plan and supervise field trips relevant to curriculum
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, students, parents, and caregivers
- Participate in regular team meetings, faculty meetings, and professional development days
- Contribute to curriculum development and revision
- Collaborate with the Director of Curriculum and Innovation and the Upper School World Language team
- Support outdoor education trips as an additional chaperone
