Long-Term Sub: French Teacher, Grades 5-8, 0.8 FTE, March - June 2026

As a mission-driven school, Burke's is seeking a French teacher for grades 5-8 who can educate, encourage, and empower girls by developing their knowledge, skills, and cultural/historical understanding of the French language.

Requirements

• Teaching one section of French to each grade, 5-8
• Formally assessing and reporting on student progress in the third trimester using checklist/narrative report cards
• Providing extra-help sessions during and after the school day, as needed
• Effective communication with colleagues in support of a collegial and collaborative professional community
• Timely and supportive communication with students, parents, and caregivers to continue a strong partnership with families
• Participate in Upper School Language team meetings in addition to attending weekly faculty meetings
• Supervisory duties and community participation as applicable
