BWXT Precision Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee day-to-day production activities and lead a team to efficiently meet quality and production targets. The role requires a leader with experience in manufacturing operations, Lean Manufacturing, and team building. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or college certificate in a technical specialty or skilled-trades certification as a CNC machinist, millwright or toolmaker
- Minimum of five years of experience in leadership roles in an MRP-based manufacturing environment using large CNC lathes and/or mill turn machines to manufacture precision components from stainless steel and other specialty alloys
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing operations and best practices including Lean Manufacturing, 5S, SPC and Continuous Improvement teams
- Demonstrated ability in building and leading teams to drive improvement and reduce cost
- Strong written and verbal communications skills in the English language
- Excellent ability to read complex mechanical part drawings with tight tolerances
- Proficiency with NC controllers and G-Code programming
- Proficiency using the Microsoft Suite of software, especially Excel
