Quality Manager

BWXT is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the Quality department, manage quality processes, and drive major quality improvement processes. The role requires a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or another technical field, 10+ years of relevant experience, and a DOE security clearance.

Requirements

• Lead of up to six direct reports and 80-100 employees
• Execute quality processes for manufacturing, inspection, documentation, and planning
• Drive major quality improvement processes
• Report and assess quality key performance indicators
• Guide managers in achieving quality objectives and training their teams to support site goals
• Manage financial and operational hours budgets in compliance with QMS and audit requirements
• Continue positive customer and relationships and coordinate supplier oversight
• Lead corrective actions
• Represent the site for Quality purposes in internal and external events
• Present quarterly updates on KPI performance, department initiatives and significant quality issues to customer and BWXT executives
• Manage corrective and preventative action activities to ensure the organization is working to continuously improve processes to reduce and/or eliminate issues that affect product or customer requirements
• Develop and deliver presentations to the workforce and customer representatives
