Job Description
Caesars Digital is seeking a Tech Lead for Backend. The role involves building, testing, and maintaining backend systems using Scala, mentoring a team, and contributing to software quality improvement. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is crucial, along with ownership of technical excellence and high-quality deliverables. The position is hybrid, with 3 days a week in the Jersey City office.
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive experience as a software engineer, preferably in high-growth systems like betting or transactional platforms
- Proven ability to mentor, guide, and develop engineers
- Extensive engineering experience in Scala and related frameworks
- Experience building and maintaining APIs for real-time applications
- Knowledge of AWS, Kafka, NRT messaging, and OLTP systems
- Strong expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Demonstrated bias toward action and ownership
- Experience designing software architecture for scalable, distributed systems
