Job Description
Maintenance Mechanics are responsible for maintaining machinery, utilities, and the facility in a safe manner. They perform preventative checks, troubleshoot issues, and maintain working relationships with employees. Responsibilities include assembling and building machine mechanical components, troubleshooting pneumatic control issues, and minimizing downtime.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Industrial maintenance certificate (preferred)
- 2 years minimum Maintenance Mechanic experience (preferred)
- 2 years in Food Manufacturing experience (preferred)
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend over, climb stairs and ladders and lift/move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to operator power tools safety/efficiently
- Understanding of pump mechanics, (PD, Centrifugal, etc.)
- Understanding of pneumatic controls
- Basic understanding of electrical components/controls
- Attention to detail when performing all aspects of job
- Ability to successfully rebuild and troubleshoot valves
- Able to troubleshoot mechanical issues and make adjustments/repairs necessary
- Source machinery/facility parts for repairs
- Utilize maintenance software system (MVP One), Microsoft office, and Word
- Ability to read and understand equipment manuals/drawings
