Job Description
Caminar is a leading behavioral health organization supporting mental health and substance use treatment. This Peer Support Specialist provides community-based support services to mentally ill adults using a recovery-based model and systems integration approach. The role involves direct client services, counseling, facilitating conflict resolution, and assisting with medical appointments. The position is full-time, part-time, and requires a flexible schedule.
Requirements
- Must be passionate about Caminar's mission.
- Must hold certification for peer support.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience with SMI/DD preferred.
- Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor.
- Must demonstrate acceptable level of maturity and emotional stability.
