Job Description
CAN Community Health is seeking a highly motivated HIV Program Specialist 1 to join their Education & Prevention Team. This entry-level role focuses on providing services to individuals impacted by HIV, Hepatitis C, and other infectious diseases, emphasizing community outreach and healthcare education. The position reports to the HIV Prevention Program Manager and requires adherence to HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
Requirements
- Provide HIV/STI/Hepatitis C testing and pre- and post-test counseling.
- Provide education on Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP).
- Distribute condoms and provide testing as appropriate.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams.
- Maintain client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
- Maintain records and support grant efforts.
