Job Description
CMHC is seeking a Multi-Unit Underwriter II to analyze mortgage insurance applications for properties over 24 units. The role involves assessing financial and property-related risks, crafting recommendations, and negotiating terms with senior stakeholders. This is a temporary position within a commitment to the development of affordable housing in Canada.
Requirements
- Lead the underwriting of new construction, complex multi-unit mortgages, and higher-risk applications.
- Analyze program and product requirements, financial statements, and borrower legal structures.
- Assess third-party property appraisal reports and provide informed recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal and external support functions.
