Job Description
CMHC is seeking a Multi-Unit Underwriter II to analyze mortgage insurance applications for properties with over 24 units, assess financial and property-related risks, and provide strategic recommendations. The role involves analytical expertise, negotiation skills, and collaboration within a team to support the development of affordable, sustainable, and inclusive communities.
Requirements
- An undergraduate degree in a relevant field (real estate, business, finance, or commerce).
- Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience in multi-unit underwriting.
- Strong financial analysis skills, including interpreting financial statements and understanding borrower legal structures.
- Solid knowledge of construction financing, multi-unit underwriting, and credit risk analysis.
- Experience with property management, appraisal, or real estate law (asset).
