Job Description
The Instrument Processing Technician performs the cleaning, disinfecting, sterilization, assembly, and sterilization of medical instruments and patient-related equipment to ensure patient safety. This role involves maintaining sterility, properly handling, transporting, and storing instruments, and ensuring compliance with sterilization protocols.
Requirements
- High school diploma/equivalent
- Associate degree program or higher
- Prior experience as a central service technician in a sterile processing department
- Enrollment in an associate degree program or higher with completion of clinical internship in sterile processing
