Lead, Leadership Academies (Program Management Specialist II)

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) is seeking a Lead, Leadership Academies to launch, develop, and continuously improve Leadership Academy. The successful candidate will oversee the planning, development, and execution of various academy cohorts to build systems level leadership in aspiring superintendents and other roles. The role requires significant internal TEA and external stakeholder engagement and performance management to ensure support provided incorporates our strongest content expertise and field feedback aligned to TEA’s strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university
• At least five (5) years of experience in one or more of the following: managing large, complex programs; serving in a school or district leadership role; building and delivering executive-level content and training; managing technical assistance providers; or coordinating operations and event management
• Excellent content development and facilitation with senior executive leaders such as superintendents
• Highly organized with strong planning and project management skills
• Meticulous attention to detail with an ability to produce high quality work in a dynamic, collaborative environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to give, receive and implement critical feedback
