Job Description
The Sudors Abstractor will work closely with epidemiologists to identify drug overdose deaths, contact coroner and medical examiner offices, and abstract data into the SUDORS database. The role requires a Bachelor's or nursing degree, quantitative analysis skills, and experience with statistical software.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's or nursing degree or emergency medical technician/death investigation certificate
- Quantitative analysis skills and experience with statistical software (SAS or R)
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Proficiency in navigating computer systems and data systems
- Emotional resilience to deal with potentially triggering data on a daily basis
- Experience working in a virtual environment with remote partners and teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and Zoom
