Job Description
The CDC Foundation is hiring a Sudors Abstractor to support the Overdose Data to Action (OD2A) program. The abstractor will work with epidemiologists to identify drug overdose deaths, abstract data from reports, and enter it into the SUDORS database. The role requires a bachelor's degree, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in statistical analysis software.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in nursing, public health, or a health-related field
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (preferably SAS)
- Proficiency in navigating computer systems
- Ability to learn new data systems quickly and comply with data integrity and security
- Emotional resilience to deal with potentially triggering data
- Experience working in a virtual environment with remote partners and teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Zoom
