Requirements
- - Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or Electrical Technology or related discipline.
- - Professional engineering (PE) license.
- - 7 years of related experience.
- - Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
- - Experience with power systems for water, wastewater, industrial, federal, and transit facilities.
- - Familiar with industry and federal codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, NESC, IEEE, UFC, etc.).
- - Published in IEEE Journals or Transactions, or other technical journals is a plus.
- - Proficiency in power system planning.
- - Applied expertise in distributed generation, alternative energy, and microgrid systems.
- - Proficiency with designing, troubleshooting, and problem-solving for medium voltage distribution systems including substations, switchgear, and standby generation systems.
- - Proficient with SKM Power*Tools and ETAP.
- - Proficiency with other electrical system analysis software (Easypower, EDSA/Paladin, Cyme, or Milsoft).
- - Expert Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices.
- - Expert Knowledge of engineer principles of design.
- - Expert Knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.).
- - Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- - Expert knowledge of federal, state and local regulations.
