The Toolroom Machinist will be responsible for working in a precision tooling environment setting up and operating 3 and 5-axis mills to manufacture multiple stamping die, plastic injection, and fixture components.
Requirements
- Manufacture fixturing and tooling from engineering drawings with minimal assistance
- Build reliable tooling components on time
- Perform maintenance on Toolroom equipment
- Ensure revision levels of paperwork and tooling components are current
- Troubleshoot using numbers based scientific approach, and determine best solutions
- Document maintenance and build activities in required databases
- Work closely with others to ensure the best practices are used during the build of all tooling components
- Set up and operate 3 and 5-axis mills to produce high quality precise tooling components and other piece parts
- Setup and operate toolroom measurement equipment
- Adhere to all safety policies; includes wearing personal protective equipment when required
- Accurately records and reports hours worked
- Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
- Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work
- Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve
- Ensure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properly
- Participate in required company meetings
- Maintain an organized work area (5S)
- Participate in the Operational Excellence Program
- Complete all other work duties as assigned
