Join Cenovus Energy as a Senior Process Engineer in Superior, WI to increase and develop project scopes in Front End Development at our Superior Refinery. You will play a crucial role in front-end development, focusing on validating business needs and developing well-rounded solutions.
Requirements
- Lead the development and front-end engineering phases of capital projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (EHS, Reliability, Asset Management) to validate project assumptions, scope, EHS compliance and risk, and economic feasibility.
- Prepare project justifications, economic models, and risk assessments to support decision-making and approvals.
- Oversee process design reviews, including PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment sizing; ensure compliance with engineering standards and process safety requirements.
- Conduct quality control checks on detailed design work, including relief calculations, flare loading, and alarm management.
- Drive margin improvement initiatives by partnering with SMEs and commercial teams to define cost-effective technical solutions.
- Support the Management of Change (MOC) processes and ensure design basis documents meet reliability and asset availability targets.
