Job Description
The Center for Justice Innovation is seeking a Court Liaison to coordinate with Brooklyn Justice Initiatives (BJI), a supervised release program for misdemeanor and felony offenders. The role involves reviewing court-related information for program participants, providing written and verbal updates to court staff, and assisting with program orientation. This position focuses on connecting program participants with services like job training, drug treatment, and mental health counseling.
Requirements
- Serve as a liaison in various court parts (arraignment, all-purpose, treatment, supreme court, trial court)
- Review internal and court databases for program releases
- Conduct program orientations
- Maintain accurate participant information in databases
- Coordinate with court personnel, attorneys, and judges
- Collaborate with Compliance and other departments
