We are seeking an Assistant Superintendent at our Jefferson Barracks Quarry in St. Louis, MO. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years' experience in quarry operations and excellent mechanical aptitude.
Requirements
- Promote and enforce Mine Safety and Health Administration rules and regulations
- Assist the Quarry Superintendent with direction and supervision of production activities
- Coordinate with the Quarry Superintendent to ensure equipment is properly maintained
- Work with the Quarry Superintendent to ensure employee competence and development
- 2+ years' experience in quarry operations
- Excellent mechanical aptitude
- Strong team-building and coaching skills
- A commitment to integrity
- Self-motivation with a strong ability to work independently or as part of a team
- An attitude of continuous improvement
- An ability to utilize an objective approach to problem solving
- An ability to build staff support and exhibit negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Tools or ability to learn
- A valid driver's license with good driving record
