Join CERN's Technology Department in the Machine Protection and Electrical Integrity Group to work on the development, manufacturing, and testing of electronic equipment for the quench protection systems of superconducting magnets in the world's most powerful particle accelerator.
Requirements
- Installing and de-installing equipment in the LHC tunnel.
- Organising acceptance tests and ensuring the correct reception of new electronic equipment.
- Supporting maintenance activities and keeping system documentation up to date.
- Operating test benches to qualify electronic equipment and contributing to their development.
- Participating in the commissioning and maintenance of protection systems.
- Maintaining and updating databases related to system operation and maintenance.
- Preparing and compiling technical and operational documentation.
