Job Description
The Clinician provides individual crisis services for youth in the Centralized Placement Support Unit (CPSU) of Child Protective Services (CPS). The role involves providing trauma-informed clinical support to youth who have recently been placed in protective custody or are dependents of the court.
Requirements
- Provide individual clinical services for each client
- Assess clients' needs and level of functioning
- Provide crisis counseling to children/families as necessary
- Write safety, behavioral, and treatment plans
- Schedule and coordinate therapy sessions
- Provide clinical interventions for teachers, parents, and other caregivers
- Meet with clients for individual sessions
- Assess and determine special services or care needed for a child
- Complete paperwork and documentation
- Attend training and consultation meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned
