Job Description
The Crisis Clinician provides individual crisis services and stabilization for youth placed in the Welcome Home, a Temporary Shelter Care Facility. The clinician provides trauma-informed clinical support to youth who have experienced complex trauma.
Requirements
- Assess clients' needs and level of functioning, developing safety, behavioral and treatment plans as indicated.
- Provide crisis counseling to children/youth placed in the Welcome Center program, including facilitation of individual and group therapy sessions.
- Provide clinical interventions for clients and staff to generalize skills in other environments.
- Assess, determine, and make a referral when special services or care are needed for a child.
- Complete paperwork and documentation, including daily/weekly progress notes and discharge reports.
