Job Description
The Cook 2 is an experienced cook responsible for providing high-quality food to guests at eating establishments. This role involves cooking food using various techniques like char-broiling, poaching, and deep frying, maintaining food safety standards, and preparing ingredients for meals. The cook will be part of the Sous Chef team and focused on achieving both delicious food and efficient food waste control.
Requirements
- Read and follow recipes
- Obtain Food Safety Certification (ServSafe, Serve-Safe)
- Obtain Food Handling Certification (Certified Food Manager, ServSafe)
- Proficient in Char-Broiling, poaching, deep frying, pan-frying, sauté, roasting, griddling, and par-cooking
- Two years of experience as a broiler/sauté cook in a high-end restaurant
