Job Description
CIMMYT is seeking Breeders with expertise in genetic tools and breeding schemes for maize, wheat, and other crop varieties. This Roster approach helps respond efficiently to hiring needs, reducing recruitment timelines. The Roster offers potential for future opportunities for highly qualified candidates.
Requirements
- PhD in plant breeding, quantitative genetics, biometrics, molecular genetics, or plant biotechnology.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in private industry and/or an advanced modern breeding program.
- Expertise in statistical analysis software (R, Python, etc.).
- Good understanding of quantitative genetics and underlying mathematical theory.
- Track record of high-quality publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Good reporting and communication skills in English.
