Job Description
CIMMYT is seeking a Roster of qualified professionals for breeders committed to implementing their Strategy in the developing world. This roster connects candidates with relevant positions, shortening recruitment timelines by screening applicants based on qualifications. The organization fosters improved production systems and basic cereal production, partnering with farmers and businesses in the global south.
Requirements
- PhD in plant breeding, quantitative genetics, biometrics, molecular genetics or plant biotechnology
- 4+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in private industry and/or advanced breeding programs
- Strong understanding of practical breeding applications and logistical constraints
- Expertise in statistical analysis software (R, Python, etc.)
- Good understanding of quantitative genetics and bioinformatics
- Excellent communication skills
- Good problem-solving and client orientation skills
