As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for continuously improving the quality of both the products and the manufacturing processes. You will identify root causes of quality issues, work with cross-functional teams to find solutions, and analyze customer complaints and audits to make improvements.
Requirements
- Create and maintain quality standards for all new and existing products and processes
- Analyze, interpret, and report findings on customer complaints, conformance audits, products, and process audits
- Maintain, analyze, and improve inspection records and data
- Collaborate with shift leadership for abnormalities and improvement opportunities
- Coordinate quality inspectors to perform daily inspection of products and packages
- Apply Root-Cause Problem Solving (RCPS) techniques
- Devise sampling procedures and designs
- Train Quality Inspectors and others on problem solving techniques
- Lead and participate in Quality Circles/Kaizen focused on addressing major technical quality problems
- Develop standard operating procedures on processes
- Perform testing on new processes and products
- Supports the plant Quality Inspectors with plant production issues and resolutions
- Lead, facilitate, and execution of continuous improvement projects as assigned
