Prisoner Transport Officer

Responsible for transporting prisoners from arrest site to designated jails and courts, providing administrative support to police department clerical staff, and performing various tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Related military, law enforcement, or corrections experience (preferred)
• Ability to pass Georgia Public Safety Training jailer certification course
• Valid Georgia driver's license and satisfactory driving history
• Ability to use PC and MS Office Suite software
• Good physical condition and ability to pass physical examination
• Successful completion of initial less than lethal weapon training
