L'Initiative Expérience de travail dans les services policiers pour les jeunes

The Work Experience Initiative in Police Services for Young People is a provincial-funded program for young people aged 15 to 18 who attend secondary school. Participants have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the Ottawa Police Service and our community and also acquire new skills to strengthen their employability.

Requirements

• Gather, insert, retrieve, and reorganize information on various databases and spreadsheets.
• Perform administrative or office tasks associated with archiving activities, such as sorting and entering data and, in particular, purging outdated or duplicate files.
• Respond to general information requests by telephone.
• Copy, sort, distribute mail.
• Provide assistance in the context of special projects, as needed.
• Promote and support crime prevention initiatives.
• Aid external organizations in the context of their programs.
• Work within the community as an ambassador.
• Support sports, artistic, and recreational programs with partner organizations.
