Job Description
The Recreation, Cultural and Facility Services department is responsible for building a healthy, inclusive and vibrant City. The successful candidate will coordinate the delivery of specialty arts or sports programs and camps, and ensure participants have a safe and enjoyable program/camp experience.
Requirements
- Post-secondary Student - completion of first year college or university
- Minimum of 1 year but less than 2 years of related experience is required
- Current Standard First Aid, CPR-C and AED certificates
- AODA Accessibility/IASR Training
- Understanding the development and recreational needs of children
- Experience working with preschoolers and/or school age children and/or youth
- Experience planning and operating recreation programs for children and/or youth
- Demonstrates supervisory and strong leadership skills
- Experience and demonstrated ability to train, supervise and evaluate staff
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage simultaneous demands
