The City of Portales is seeking a Utilities Cashier/Clerk to perform various tasks related to the collection of Utility bills and provide clerical and reception support for the Public Utilities Department.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two years of experience related to duties and responsibilities specified is preferred
- Ability to sit at a desk most of the working day and walk short distances
- Knowledge of financial management systems, taking payments, posting payments, making accurate change, preparing banking deposits, account inquiry, and account reconciliation process
- Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
