The Environmental Resource Protection Program (ERPP) Manager II is responsible for managing services and staff within Environmental Public Health (EPH). The programs and services under this position include Operations and Maintenance oversight of On-site Septic systems and Drinking Water systems, Solid Waste Enforcement, Pollution Prevention & Assistance and Hazard Assessment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Master's Degree in public health, environmental science, environmental health or other relatable field
- At least five (5) years of related experience including supervision, or a combination of education, experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the work
- Registration as a Sanitarian is preferred but not required
- Ability to effectively and respectively work with persons from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to apply understanding and knowledge of cultural differences and similarities when working with diverse populations
- Ability to identify the role of cultural, social and behavioral factors in determining the delivery of Public Health services
- Ability to research and implement approaches to address problems that take into account racial equity in working with diverse populations
- Ability to recognize and address discrimination, stereotypes and stigmas in the work environment
