Senior Commercial Counsel

Cloudflare is looking for a Senior Commercial Counsel to join its legal team based in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have a JD degree, strong academic credentials, and in-depth experience with contracts for professional services and related terms. The role involves drafting and negotiating complex agreements, advising cross-functional stakeholders, and creating scalable agreements and policies.

Requirements

• JD degree with strong academic credentials
• In-depth experience with contracts for professional services and related terms
• Experience building relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and developing strategic program policies and controls
• Admitted to practice law and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law in the state in which the position is located
• 810+ years relevant experience
• Experience with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements common to technology companies
• Good strategic, business sense, and demonstrated negotiation skills with respect to legal issues
• Detail oriented and technically-adept, preferably with experience at a SaaS or Cloud company
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple matters
• The ability to work in a team, with lawyers and non-lawyers, to establish scalable solutions efficiently and in an amenable manner
• Ability to operate autonomously, while being a team player who can find opportunities for collaboration and shared efficiencies
