Job Description
Coherent Aerospace & Defense Inc, an Emerging Products & Technologies (EP&T) Business Unit, is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to evaluate and implement solutions for complex gimbals. The role involves system architecture, integration, testing, and troubleshooting. It requires expertise in system engineering, mechanical and electrical engineering, software integration, and data analysis. The successful candidate will also be a technical leader and mentor to engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline
- 9+ years of relevant experience (or master’s + 7 years) or 4+ years with PhD
- Experience in systems engineering high precision gimbals
- Experience with non-gimbal systems (e.g. laser systems) is highly desirable
