Job Description
Coherent Aerospace & Defense Inc is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to evaluate and implement solutions for complex gimbals. This role involves system architecture, requirements, integration, control systems, sensor integration, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system engineering and is proficient in technologies like MATLAB/Simulink and optical testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline
- 9+ years of relevant experience or master’s degree and 7+ years experience (PhD with 4 years experience)
- Prior experience in systems engineering high precision gimbals is necessary
- Proficiency in engineering software tools (CAD, FEA, MATLAB, etc.)
- Understanding of cable and harness build workmanship and EMI suppression techniques
