Purchasing Manager

The role involves direct leadership in purchasing activities, approving purchases for the site, developing policies, and coordinating with other departments to maintain inventory levels and manage contracts. Requirements

• Directs and provides leadership in all purchasing activities.
• Reviews and approves purchases on behalf of the company.
• Develops policies and procedures for procurement activities.
• Monitors cost, schedule, and performance aspects.
• Coordinates purchasing activities with Engineering and Manufacturing.
• Acts as an advisor to subordinates.
• May assist with the establishment of the production control system.
• Supports site’s Buyers on supply/price escalations.
• Negotiates contracts and manages supplier relationships.
• Keeps up to date with business trends.
• Strong project management skills
