Job Description
Coinbase is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Controller to join their finance team, focusing on Prime Financing and Capital Markets. The role involves accurate and compliant accounting for complex digital asset lending, derivatives, and other structured products, driving the development of scalable processes, and providing financial analysis. The position demands a candidate who is passionate about cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, and thrives in a fast-paced, intense work environment.
Requirements
- Develop and maintain accounting processes for prime financing and capital markets, ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS and crypto-specific guidance.
- Apply standards like ASC 815, ASC 860, and ASC 825 to activities such as crypto lending/borrowing, derivatives, and prime brokerage services.
- Design and maintain SOX-compliant internal controls, addressing crypto-specific risks.
- Work with Product, Risk, and Legal teams to assess accounting implications of new products.
