Adjunct/Affiliate Faculty - Medical Surgical Nursing - College of Adult and Graduate Studies

The Medical Surgical Nursing Affiliate Faculty are teaching nursing students in the specialty of Medical Surgical nursing at the College of Adult and Graduate Studies. They coordinate and supervise students in simulation and practice settings, providing instruction and clinical judgment. Affiliates may also serve as Teaching Assistants in the classroom. The position is offered on a course-by-course basis, including on-site, weekend, and evening schedules, with five, seven, and ten-week duration classes.

Requirements

• Active unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in Colorado.
• Documented two years of experience in the area of instruction.
• Minimum of an MSN degree in nursing from a Nursing Education Program with national nursing accreditation.
• Strong pharmacology and general treatment knowledge and skills.
• Knowledge and proficiency in APA 7th edition and academic writing.
• Ability to engage students in clinical situations.
