PATIENT SERVICE REP II

Provides administrative coverage for patient service functions related to check-out operations of physician practice, including collecting and processing encounter form data, collecting and totaling outstanding balances and payments, and balancing work and computer at end of day.

Requirements

• Maintains established departmental policies and procedures
• Receives and records changes in patient information
• Ensures procedures and corresponding diagnosis are properly recorded on the fee slip for charge entry
• Compiles data for the billing personnel
• Attends meetings as required and participates on committees as directed
• Collaborates with the patient, physician, and other care team members as part of a team based approach to overall patient care
