Job Description
Cover Whale is a data-driven insurance company that improves road safety by combining insurance products with driver coaching and safety programs. They are seeking a Business Development Manager for the Midwest region to manage a portfolio of retail distribution partners, drive premium production, and identify new high-potential relationships. The role involves both in-field travel and strategic account management.
Requirements
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Minimum of 4 to 6 years of business development or account management experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial insurance
- Minimum 1 year of experience working for a carrier, wholesaler, or MGA preferred
- Proven ability to drive significant revenue generation
- Experience developing and managing retail and wholesale commercial lines brokers/agents
- Experience in prospecting and negotiating with distribution partners
- Thorough understanding of insurance business financials
- Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and influencing skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Superb communication and presentation skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to change and complexity
