As a Mechanical Test Engineer 2 at Day & Zimmermann, you will be working with cutting-edge technology, tackling challenges, solving problems, and making an impact. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive test plans, integrating control systems, and designing and assembling test fixtures. You will also analyze root causes and implement solutions to ensure the system meets required specifications.
Requirements
- Proficiency in programming Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
- Ability to read/create mechanical drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD
- A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, and assembly methods
- Ability to create Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) for controlling and monitoring systems
- Understanding of sensors, actuators, and other components used in control systems
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and adapt to changing business needs
- Strong ability to understand and complete technical projects based on drawings, sketches and verbal communication
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Experience with mechanical measurement instrumentation and sensor technologies, including load cells, pressure transducers, thermocouples, and high-speed cameras
