Support Specialist

Descartes is seeking a Support Specialist to provide excellent support to existing clients via phone and help desk software. The ideal candidate will have experience with Freight Brokering, Trucking or Logistics and possess excellent troubleshooting skills and outside of the box thinking. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain/Logistics Management, or equivalent work experience
• Experience with Freight Brokering, Trucking or Logistics
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and outside of the box thinking
• Excellent people skills – ability to be empathetic, accurate, responsive & resourceful
• Ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, and follow-up on customer issues in an efficient manner
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional organizational, verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with supporting SaaS Transportation Management (TMS) platforms
• Excellent telephone support personality/engaging phone presence
• Knowledge in Help Desk software, Microsoft 365, networking, printer/scanner, data import and export, reporting, tracking, EDI, SFTP, accounting experience a plus
• Willing to share responsibility of being part of after-hours On-Call Rotation to respond to critical system issues/outages
• 2 + years experience in customer support a plus
