Mid-Level Intellectual Property Associate Attorney – Patent Prosecution to join an Am Law 100 law firm in Chicago, managing and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications, advising on strategic patent portfolio development, and collaborating with clients and senior attorneys.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in patent prosecution and portfolio management at a law firm or in-house legal department.
• Admission to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) required.
• Ph.D. or graduate degree in a science or engineering discipline strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of intellectual property law, with a focus on patent prosecution and strategic IP counseling.
• Excellent academic credentials, writing ability, and communication skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
