We're seeking a Head of AI Technology to lead the development, deployment, and governance of artificial intelligence solutions across the organisation for the Docuvera technology team. The role ensures the underlying architecture, governance, and technical direction are coherent, secure, and aligned to enterprise-wide AI strategy.
Requirements
- 10+ years in software development, with 3+ years in AI leadership or senior technical roles
- Proven track record of delivering AI-driven products or platforms at scale
- Ability to balance strategic leadership priorities and team leadership responsibilities
- Has been in positions with a high level of accountability, focused on moving at pace to deliver outcomes
- Familiarity with AI ethics, regulatory standards, and responsible AI practices
- Strong expertise in machine learning, deep learning, NLP, computer vision, and other AI technologies
- Experience with risk management, continuous improvement and compliance requirements
- Delivery and execution experience in SaaS, enterprise software, or digital transformation environments
- Strong experience with AI frameworks and libraries
- Deep understanding of data pipelines, cloud computing, and scalable AI infrastructure
- Proven ability to understand and manage customer or other stakeholder’s needs with the capacity and ability of the team to deliver
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple concurrent initiatives
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability, balancing speed with quality
- Familiarity with agile software development practices
- Shows a deep technical understanding combined with tactical leadership skills
- Effective communicator who can translate technical concepts into clear business language
- Proven ability to define and execute an AI engineering strategy aligned with business objectives
- Excellent problem-solving, prioritization, and decision-making skills
- Understands how to utilise AI best practices, governance frameworks, and standards to ensure ethical, secure, and scalable AI deployment
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and relationship-building skills
- History of building, leading, and mentoring teams, particularly in engineering
- Skilled at empowering and guiding engineers, willing to engage with technical challenges when needed, to ensure smooth and effective delivery of the function
- Experience or familiarity with coaching, talent development, performance management, and succession planning frameworks and processes
- Understanding of team dynamics and how to create psychologically safe, high-performance culture
